Flow cytometry antibodies are a powerful tool for analyzing and isolating specific cell subpopulations in a cell population. In the cell sorting process, flow cytometry antibodies play a key role in helping to achieve efficient cell separation.

Antibody labeling: First, specific antibodies are coupled to fluorescent dyes to form fluorescently labeled antibodies. These antibodies are able to recognize and bind to specific antigens on the surface of target cells. By selecting antibodies against different cell surface markers, different cell types can be distinguished and identified.

Cell staining: The cell suspension is mixed with fluorescently labeled antibodies to allow the antibodies to specifically bind to antigens on the cell surface. This process is usually performed under mild conditions to maintain cell viability and integrity.

Data acquisition: flow cytometry antibodies The stained cells are injected into the flow cytometer. The cells pass through the flow chamber as single cells and are irradiated by the laser beam. When the fluorescent dye on the antibody is excited, a fluorescent signal of a specific wavelength is emitted. Flow cytometry detects these fluorescent signals and records the fluorescence intensity and other physical characteristics of each cell, such as cell size and granularity.

When cells pass through the flow chamber, if they meet the preset gate conditions, the cells will be deflected by the charge deflection device (such as a high voltage electric field) into the designated collection container. Cells that do not meet the conditions will be deflected to the waste collection.

Purity and efficiency assessment: flow cytometry antibodies The sorted cells need to be tested for purity and viability to ensure that the isolated cell population meets the experimental requirements. This is usually verified by using flow cytometry antibodies again or other methods.
